What Is an Affiliate?
According to Clickbank.com, “An affiliate is someone who promotes a product or service to potential customers, in exchange for a commission on the sale when one occurs.” What does that mean for you? That means that if you click on one of the affiliate links (text links and/or banner links) I may have posted, I will receive a monetary commission from the advertisers that Borlok Virtual Assistants LLC works with based on either a percentage or a specific dollar amount if you decide to purchase using that link. This Affiliate Disclosure has been provided for your protection and to fully disclose any relationship between this site’s product or service recommendations and the owners of these product(s) or services. The owner of this website is required by the FTC to inform you that a relationship exists between Borlok Virtual Assistants LLC and its subsidiaries and some of the products or services it reviews, recommends or promotes. There are four guiding principles that need to be followed with full disclosure.
There is no getting around: full disclosure is required to be clear and conspicuous. That means you should not have to become a super sleuth whether or not Prepare to Bug In is practicing full disclosure. There are generally four guiding principles that we use as put out by the FTC:
• Prominence. Is the disclosure big enough for consumers to read easily?
• Presentation. Is the disclosure worded in a way that consumers can easily understand?
• Placement. Geography matters. Is the disclosure where consumers are likely to look?
• Proximity. Is the disclosure close to the claim it modifies?
I would like to ask you, the reader, to let us know if we are not following these principles. You can contact me at bvaprepper@prepare2bugin.com.
The opinions expressed here are those of myself as an individual and are not necessarily the opinions of nor reflect the views of any merchants I am affiliated with.
